Replacing the monitor cables on your Peloton Bike is a Member-friendly process. If you’ve received new monitor cables from our Member Support Team, please follow the instructions below to complete the replacement process. The only tools you will need to complete this process are a 3mm Allen key and a Phillips head screwdriver.
- Lock the flywheel by turning the knob all the way to the right.
- Start by removing the right water bottle holder using a 3mm Allen key. The remaining water bottle holder can remain attached.
- With a Phillip screwdriver, remove the top 2 screws located in front of the sweat guard.
- Using the same Phillip screwdriver, remove the bottom 2 screws located on the side of the sweat guard.
- Using both hands, pull downward to remove the entire assembly.
- Gently pull the bottom part of the guard toward yourself
- Brake must be fully engaged for this step by turning the knob to the right
- Disconnect both monitor cable connectors from the back of the touchscreen.
- Follow the monitor cable down to the wire bracket. The wire bracket holds the cable connections in place against the inside of the frame fork.
- Squeeze the sides of the bracket together to release it from the bike frame, one side at a time. Set the bracket aside The wire bracket has sharp edges. Handle it carefully.
- Disconnect the cables by pulling them apart.
- Connect the white and green connectors on the new monitor cables to the connectors coming from the Bike. Make sure that the colors match, the arrows line up and the connectors are fully seated.
- Put the connectors in the wire bracket and place it against the inside of the frame fork.
- Fit one side into its slot on the frame fork, then squeeze the sides of the bracket together to fit the other side into the second slot.
- Plug the connectors back into the touchscreen.
- Using both hands, reattach the front sweat guard.
- Using a Phillip screwdriver, install the bottom 2 screws located on the side of the sweat guard.
- Install the top 2 screws located in front of the sweat guard.
- Install the right water bottle holder using a 3mm Allen key.
- Once you have confirmed that everything is working correctly, refit the front protection cover and water bottle holder.
You have now successfully replaced the Bike monitor cables. We can’t wait to see you back on the Leaderboard!
