When placing your order for a connected-fitness device, such as a Peloton Bike or Tread, Peloton will authorize the total amount on your method of payment, such as Affirm or your credit/debit card.
For Credit and Debit Card Purchases: Payment for your order will be finalized five days before your scheduled delivery date or 90 days after checkout, whichever occurs first. When your payment is finalized by our payment processor, you will receive an email notification from Peloton that your payment method will be charged. If Peloton is unable to charge your payment method prior to your scheduled delivery date, you will receive an email notification to update your payment information with a link to your order receipt portal to provide the update. If the Peloton Team is unable to resolve your order balance 48 hours before your scheduled delivery date, we will cancel your order.
For Affirm Purchases: Payment for your order will be finalized five days before your scheduled delivery date or 90 days after checkout, whichever occurs first. Until then, your loan with Affirm is in a pending state. When Peloton finalizes your payment, you will receive an email notification from Affirm confirming that your loan is active, with your loan repayment schedule. If there is a problem with your order before your loan is finalized, Affirm or Peloton will contact you to resolve the issue, and if we cannot, your order will be canceled.
Regarding taxes, the estimated taxes owed based on your delivery address will appear in your “Cart Summary” when placing an order. Depending on the date your payment is processed, or if you update your final delivery address, the amount of tax charged may change once your order is finalized.
If Peloton is unable to successfully finalize your payment information after successive attempts, your order will be canceled.
