As with all consumer electronics, the pace of innovation is swift. Given the age and technology of your first-generation touchscreen, it no longer accommodates the software updates we regularly develop and release. We are still committed to maintaining the current experience; however, the first-generation touchscreen will no longer support new features.
What Does That Mean for First-Generation Users?
In order to meet your expectations of the Peloton experience, we recommend that all Members riding with a first-generation touchscreen upgrade their display. A current generation replacement touchscreen is available for Members to purchase online using the following link: Replacement Touchscreen. Again, you’ll still be able to use your current touchscreen and the upgrade is optional.
What Model Touchscreen Do I Own?
Not sure if you own a first-generation touchscreen? Here are some easy ways to check:
- The touchscreen power button is round, orange, and located on the top of the touchscreen.
- First-generation touchscreens were manufactured before September 2016, so if you got your Bike before that, you probably have one.
- First-generation touchscreen serial numbers start with “72010”. You can find the serial number on the label on the back of your touchscreen.
- To learn how to locate your touchscreen’s serial number, please refer to the following article: Locating Your Bike and Touchscreen Serial Number.
