Tensioning the Belt
Check monthly to make sure your belt is properly tensioned. A loose belt can stick or slip while running or walking. If adjustments need to be made, follow the steps below:
- Power down and unplug the Tread.
- Use the 6mm Allen key from the toolkit that came with your Tread to tighten the tensioning screws. Tighten each screw one quarter turn clockwise.
- Turn on the Tread and test. Briefly walk and run on the Tread to make sure the belt isn’t slipping.
- Repeat the adjustments as needed until the belt is tensioned, making sure the red center line falls between the two red centering dots on the front of the deck. NOTE: Make sure to power down each time before making adjustments.

Aligning the Belt
Check monthly to make sure your Tread is properly aligned by centering the redline on the belt in between the two dots on the front of the Tread. If the redline is not centered and is touching one of the two dots, the belt will need to be realigned. If adjustments need to be made, follow the steps below:
- Power down and unplug the Tread.
- Use the 6mm Allen key from the toolkit that came with your Tread to tighten the tensioning screw on the side that needs to be adjusted.
- To pull the belt to the right, tighten the left screw one quarter turn clockwise.
- To pull the belt to the left, tighten the right screw one quarter turn clockwise.
- Turn on the Tread and test. Run the Tread for 30 seconds to let the belt adjust.
- Repeat the adjustments as needed until the belt is tensioned and the red centerline falls between the two red centering dots on the front of the deck. NOTE: Make sure to power down each time before making adjustments.
