Not riding your bike? You can always pause your subscription. Or, keep your subscription and take it on the go via our complimentary app on your iPhone or iPad. However if you still want to sell your bike, here are some tips.
Please Note: The following is guidance for Members who are out of their subscription commitment period (typically a 1-year period unless you are financing your bike for a longer period of time). All secondary sales of Peloton Bikes will void the warranties on that bike.
Please use the following information as a guide only, and note that Peloton is in no way affiliated with or responsible for any secondary sales or secondary marketplaces.
Where can I sell my bike?
While we do not endorse any particular selling platform (or help with the process), below are examples where former Members have sold their Peloton Bike.
- Local Online Marketplace (e.g., Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, Letgo): Members have sold used Peloton Bikes on local online marketplaces. Selling locally can make for a less costly transaction as the Buyer can handle pickup.
- National Online Marketplace (e.g., eBay): Members have sold used Peloton Bikes on National online marketplaces. In many cases, the seller opts to have the buyer pickup the bike, making it a local transaction.
- Unofficial “Peloton Buy Sell Trade” Facebook Group: Members have sold used Peloton Bikes on this unofficial Facebook group which recommends local pickups. Please note this page is not in any way affiliated with Peloton.
- In-person (e.g., family member, friend, neighbor): Members have sold or gifted their Peloton Bike to someone they know and trust.
How much should I sell my bike for?
There is no typical selling price. It often ranges depending on characteristics such as condition and age. Depending on the selling platform, you may view historical sales listings to get an idea of the going rate.
What info should I include in my listing?
Listings often include item name, condition (e.g., degree of wear), price, location, return policy, and guarantee (e.g., eBay money back guarantee) as well as detailed pictures of your bike. Generally, the selling platform will outline what type of information to include.
What should I do about shipping?
We recommend reviewing our page on relocation tips as a starting point.
Can I transfer over my bike warranty to the new owner?
No. Bike warranties and extended warranties are only valid for the original bike owner or any person receiving the covered product as a gift from the original purchaser at time of original installation per our Limited Home Use Warranty and Extended Warranty Coverage. Neither warranty is transferable.
Can I transfer my prepaid subscription credits to the new owner?
Yes, you may transfer prepaid subscription credits to a new owner as long as you are out of your subscription commitment period. Please email email@example.com with both parties’ rider names or email addresses. Subscription transfers are at Peloton’s discretion if you are within your subscription commitment period. Note: new Members are required to commit to a 12-month minimum subscription.
