Not riding your Bike? You can always pause your All-Access Membership. Or, you can keep your membership and take it on the go via our app on your Apple® iOS or Android® device. However, if you still want to sell your Bike or Bike+, here are some tips.
Please Note: Bike and Bike+ Limited Warranties are not transferable to secondary owners, and Peloton Protection Plans purchased prior to April 5th, 2022 are not transferable to secondary owners. Protection Plans purchased on or after April 5th, 2022 may be transferred to secondary owners. See here for more information about Peloton Protection Plans.
Bikes that are part of the Peloton Rental Program cannot be resold and must be returned to Peloton upon termination of your Peloton Rental Agreement. Peloton will NOT activate an All Access Membership on a Peloton Rental Bike that has been resold.
In addition, it is unlawful for any person to sell, offer for sale, or distribute a product that is subject to a product recall. Peloton urges you to determine if the Bike you are planning to sell or selling through a third-party platform is subject to Peloton’s voluntary recall of the original Peloton Bike seat post, here. If your Bike is subject to the voluntary recall, and you still need a new seat post, you must replace your seat post prior to selling your Peloton Bike. Please visit this page to obtain your free, replacement seat post prior to trying to sell or selling your Peloton Bike.
Please use the following information as a guide only, and note that Peloton is in no way affiliated with or responsible for any secondary sales or secondary marketplaces, and prohibits the sale of any Peloton Bikes that are subject to the voluntary recall.
Where can I sell my Bike or Bike+?
While we do not endorse any particular selling platform (or help with the process), below are examples where former Members have sold their Peloton Bike or Bike+.
- Local Online Marketplace (e.g., Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace)
- Unofficial “Peloton Buy Sell Trade” Facebook Group: Please note: this page is not in any way affiliated with Peloton.
- In-person (e.g., family member, friend, neighbor)
Note: Please beware of fraud or scam attempts on online marketplaces and be sure to understand and follow their selling guidelines and terms of use. Please do not post listings on our Official Peloton Rider Page on Facebook or use our photos or other marketing assets in your listings.
How much should I sell my Bike or Bike+ for?
There is no typical selling price. It often ranges depending on characteristics such as condition and age of the Bike, as well as what tablet the Bike has. Depending on the selling platform, you may view historical sales listings to get an idea of the going rate.
What info should I include in my listing?
Listings often include item name, condition (e.g., degree of wear, any cosmetic or functional damage, what year the Bike was purchased, etc.), price, location, return policy, guarantees (e.g., eBay money back guarantee), detailed pictures of your Bike or Bike+, as well as details on delivering or picking up the Bike. Generally, the sales platform will outline what type of information to include. We also recommend including if any of the Bike components aren’t original Peloton equipment.
