If you are experiencing issues with Movement Tracking on your Peloton Guide, please consider the criteria below when troubleshooting the Movement Tracking feature:
- Your camera must be enabled for the Movement Tracking feature to work.
- Movement Tracking is not intended to count reps and does not offer form correction.
- Make sure you are taking a class that is compatible with Movement Tracker.
- Poor lighting can cause the camera to have a hard time detecting body movement.
- Avoid light sources directly facing the camera like lamps or windows.
- Avoid wearing clothing that may blend in with your background to ensure the Guide’s camera can accurately track your movements.
- We recommend placing the Peloton Guide in a clear, well lit space.
- Make sure you are taking a class with the Movement Tracker functionality.
- Make sure you are within the camera detection frame.
- Avoid standing too close or too far away from the camera.
- We recommend staying within 6.5 feet of the camera for optimal tracking.
- Make sure your camera is angled toward your workout space.
- Poor camera angles can occur if the Peloton Guide is placed too high or too low or is lopsided.
- We recommend Members place the Peloton Guide 3 to 6 feet from the ground by either mounting it on top of an anchored TV or on a stable flat surface.
- If space allows for it, try setting up your mat sideways (90°) in the frame at the beginning of class for the best Movement Tracking experience.
- Floor exercises tend to work better when your side is facing the camera.
- Standing/kneeling exercises tend to work better when facing the camera directly.
- Movement Tracking is only compatible with one person taking a class at a time.
If you’re still experiencing issues, recalibrate the Movement Tracking feature by navigating to Settings > Movement Tracker > Setup Movement Tracker.
