In most cases, a blinking red light on the Peloton Tread indicates that an error has occurred.
To resolve this issue, please try detaching and reattaching the safety key.
A correctly attached safety key should remain closest to the handrail with the silver side facing up. The key itself will attach to the magnet—and the clip does not need to be attached to the handrails.
The area surrounding the safety key and safety key opening should be kept dry and free from moisture. Please refrain from using any liquid cleaners around the area. If the safety key, safety key opening, or surrounding area is exposed to liquid (including cleaners, sweat, or drinks) or appears wet or moist, it is important to dry the safety key and the surrounding area immediately.
After the area has been dried from a spill or exposure to moisture, please test the safety key by pulling it out while walking on the Tread to ensure that the safety key is still working properly. If it is not, please contact Member Support immediately.
In some scenarios, a message will pop up. Simply follow the instructions and the error pill should disappear. If a message pill does not appear, shut down the Peloton Tread by switching off the power button located at the bottom of the deck. Restarting the Tread should resolve the issue.
If the red light is still blinking after powering off and restarting your Tread, please reach out to our Member Support Team.
