If you are experiencing issues powering on your Peloton Bike+, this may be a result of a loose or incorrect connection. To resolve the issue, please follow the troubleshooting steps below.
If you have a Peloton Bike, please refer to the Peloton Bike No Power Troubleshooting article.
1. Check the status of the power adaptor cable located at the back of the Bike+.
- If there is no white light or the white light appears to be blinking, try connecting to a different outlet. If the problem persists, please contact Member Support for additional assistance. (image 1.2)
2. Check the USB-C connection on the touchscreen.
- Ensure the USB-C connection is going into the middle port on the back of the touchscreen. Apply light pressure to ensure that the connector is fully inserted.(image 1.3)
3. Check the USB-C connection on the brake shroud.
- Verify that the cable above the brake shroud is connected to the top port. Apply light pressure to ensure that the connector is fully inserted.(images 1.4, 1.5)
4. Check the USB-C connection inside the frame.
- Check USB-C located on the inside right of the frame beneath the "n" on the Peloton logo. (images 1.6, 1.7) If disconnected, reconnect the cable to the frame.
5. Check the power requirements.
- Power Requirements: 100V to 240V, 50Hz to 60Hz, 3.25 A Max.
- To prevent damage to the power adapter from sweat and spills that may result in property damage or bodily harm, ensure the power cable does not run underneath the Peloton Bike+.
6. Check the power connection.
- Disconnect the power cable from the base of the Peloton and inspect the condition of the connector. (image 1.8)
- If the connector seems to be loose/bent/out of socket, please contact Member Support for additional assistance.
7. Power cycle + Homing.
- Leave the power cable disconnected from the Bike+ and unplug the power cable from the wall outlet. Wait until the white light on the power cable dissipates (this process can take up to 5-10 min). Once dissipated, remove the rubber grommet and reconnect the power cable back into the wall outlet and the Bike+ .
- Confirm that the Peloton Bike+ performs an upwards and downwards calibration sequence within the brake shroud. (image 1.1)
- Once powered on, you should see the brake automatically move toward and away from the flywheel to calibrate the Bike+.
After the power cycle, there should be an audible hum as the brake assembly moves up and down.
- Once powered on, you should see the brake automatically move toward and away from the flywheel to calibrate the Bike+.
- If there is no sound and the brake assembly does not move, proceed onto step 8 before contacting Member Support for additional assistance.
8. Check the touchscreen power.
- Unplug the power cable connected at the base of the Peloton Bike+.
- Rotate the touchscreen and unplug the power cable located within the middle port.
- Take the power adapter cable that's connected to the base of the Peloton Bike+ and connect the USB-C connection to the power port on the touchscreen (the middle port). (image 1.9)
