Peloton Bike, Bike+, and Tread Power and Sleep Mode
Powering On and Off
To power off your Peloton Product, press and hold the power button on the back of the touchscreen until a prompt to shut down pops up. Select "Shut Down" and wait until the touchscreen is fully off.
To power on your Peloton Product once fully powered off, press and hold the power button until the Peloton logo appears on the touchscreen.
To put your Peloton Product into sleep mode, tap the power button located on the back of the touchscreen. Sleep mode is different from fully powering off your Peloton Product. While in sleep mode, the Peloton Product can still receive software and firmware updates
Your Peloton Product automatically goes into sleep mode after 20 minutes of inactivity, but you can update the sleep mode timer in your touchscreen’s settings. To update your sleep mode timer:
- Tap "Settings" in the top right corner of your touchscreen.
- Select "Device Settings" from the list.
- From Device Settings, tap "Display," then "Screen Timeout."
- Update the sleep mode timer to the time of your choosing. Timer options are as follows:
- 15 seconds
- 30 seconds
- 1 minute
- 2 minutes
- 5 minutes
- 10 minutes
- 15 minutes
- 20 minutes
Peloton Guide Power and Sleep Mode
Your Peloton Guide can be powered off or put to sleep by navigating to the Sleep option from the Home navigation screen or in the Quick Actions.
Quick Actions may be accessed by pressing and holding the menu button ☰ until the Quick Actions menu appears.
Note: By default, after 15 minutes of inactivity, the Peloton Guide will automatically enter a sleep mode. This default setting can be changed through Settings > Screen > Auto-Sleep > Select a time. To wake up the Guide, you can press any two buttons on your Peloton Guide remote.
