Power Requirements
The power requirements for the Tread and Tread+ are: 120V, 60Hz, 15A dedicated circuit (North America only).
The Tread should be connected to a dedicated circuit. For an uninterrupted experience, avoid GFCI outlets.
GFCI (Ground-Fault Circuit Interrupter) Outlets
Ground-fault circuit interrupter outlets are designed to shut off if too much power is flowing through the ground port.
The Peloton Tread and Tread+ use the ground on the outlet to disperse static electricity generated by machine operation, so if it’s plugged into a GFCI outlet, it’s likely to trip the breaker and shut down.
If this occurs, move the treadmill to a different outlet.
- GFCI outlets are usually found in bathrooms, kitchens, and other areas where interacting with water is common.
- You can often identify GCFI outlets by the red or white reset switch on the faceplate, but GFCI breakers often cover nearby outlets, too. Try moving the Tread to a different area.
- Remember that the Tread+ needs its own dedicated circuit.
WiFi Requirements
We recommend a minimum download speed of 10-15 mbps and a minimum upload speed of 2.5 mbps.
