The Peloton App on Android® TV is an exciting new platform that is yet another way for our Members to access Peloton content.
The Android® TV Peloton App is available in the US, UK, CA, DE and AU and is compatible with Android® OS 7 and above.
Downloading the Peloton App For Android® TV
This can be downloaded through the Google® Play Store. Follow the link here for more information from Google®: Download Google® Play AppsNote: In order to use your App, you must have and be signed in to your Google® account. If you don’t have a Google® account, create one here.
After the Peloton App has been successfully downloaded onto your device, launch the App on your device and start the process of logging in/signing up.
If you are an Existing Member (a Bike/Tread owner or App Member), select “Log In” to enter the email address (or username) and password associated with your Peloton account in the respective fields.
If you are New to Peloton, click "Create Account" (instead of “Log in”) to get started with a free trial or subscribe to the App Membership directly for $12.99/month.
- Once you are signed in and have an active Peloton Membership or trial, you may begin taking classes.
Starting A Class On Your Android® TV
On the left side of the touchscreen, classes will be listed according to the following class type: Featured, Strength, Yoga, Stretching, Meditation, Cardio, Cycling, Running, Boot Camp, and Walking.
You may navigate to and select any of these class types with your device's remote, which will cause the App to display only classes categorized by that specific class type.
Once you have selected a specific class type that you enjoy, you may further sort through classes by using the “Filter” option located in the top right corner of any page (except on the Featured page).
Important To Note:
- The Peloton App for Android® TV is limited to Android® OS 7 and above.
- All TVs that run Android® TV are listed on android.com/tv.
Using Google® Chromecast with the Peloton Android® App
You can view Peloton content on your TV by using our Android® app and a Google® Chromecast device or connected TV. To get started, just following the following steps:
- Begin any video workout class in the Android® app.
- Tap the Google® Chromecast icon on the bottom right portion of the screen.
- You can then select the TV you would like to stream your workout to - just make sure that your App and the Google® Chromecast are on the same Wi-Fi network.
While casting, actions taken on your Android® device will not interrupt your workout. This means you can turn your Android® device’s screen off as well as interact with phone calls or other apps.
To stop casting just tap the Google® Chromecast icon on your Android® app again. This will bring up a modal where you can select “Stop Casting”. Additionally, you can use this menu to control the TV volume and pause your on-demand class.

Q: Where can I go if I’m experiencing issues with my Google® Chromecast-enabled device?

Q: How do I control the volume?
A: Use the TV remote or manage directly from your phone. After you’ve started casting, just tap the Google® Chromecast icon again and you’ll be able to adjust. Or just use the volume buttons on your phone.
Q: What should I do if I’m experiencing video buffering?
A: Make sure both your phone and your Google® Chromecast devices are located close enough to your Wi-Fi base stations.
Q: Why can’t I pause a live class?
A: While the stop button may appear on your Google® Chromecast TV interface, live workouts cannot be stopped mid-workout. On-demand classes may be paused.
