If this is your first time clipping in and you're having difficulty, or if your shoes start to feel loose in the pedals, you can adjust the tension on the pedals for a more comfortable fit. The tension screws are located on the back of the pedals and help hold your cleats and shoes securely to the Bike or Bike +. Adjusting the tension to ensure you have the optimal fit for your personal preference is recommended periodically. Here is an image of the tension screw:

Before adjusting the tension on the pedals, turn the resistance knob all the way to the right to lock the flywheel and crank arms in place.
- Turn the pedal upside down so that screws are visible.
- The tension screws are located on the back of the pedals with a plus and minus sign above them.
- If you are having trouble clipping into your Bike, or if it is too difficult to unclip from the Bike, we recommend loosening the pedal tension using the 3 millimeter Allen key included with your Bike.

- To loosen the pedal tension, turn the screw toward the minus sign (counterclockwise) one-quarter of a turn at a time. After each quarter turn, try clipping in.
